Friday 9th January
Trained it to Thomastown where #GARY picked me up and then we headed all the way to point cook. for Wen's 19th. The weather was horrible, it was raining so hard. But luckily the party was indoors, and even though it was a small amount of people I still had so much fun!! There was a wide variety of alcohol and mk got fked once again hehehe

tasted amazing

We needed to buy a new couch and dining table for the house so my fam drove to Ikea. I swear Ikea is my most favourite place on earth lmao. It gives me so much inspiration for my future home but also makes me realise how ugly my bedroom is. We ended up buying a glass dining table but still have yet to buy a couch.

Thursday 15th January
Met up with Cindy and Lisa for a rly last min planned bday brunch. We had the $15 lunch deal at Fathers Office in the city and I reckon it was worth it!! Afterwards I met up with Lily and Uyen and we did some bday shopping. I don't really like kookai because its so mainstream now but I could not resist picking up a couple of their basics which were on sale!! Managed to spend all my money :((( Then at night I went to dinner with the fam at Yeonga near Queen Vic Market. It's a korean bbq and its probably the best one I've been to. I would definitely recommend their Seafood and tofu stew because I've had my fair share of korean stews (which is my fave korean dish) and I'm certain that this is the best that I've tried. Definitely coming back to try their other stews. I always love going to dinner with my family even though it doesn't happen that often, its a nice change of scenery eating and bonding in a different environment!

Friday 16th January
Went to work and then trammed to woolies to do some grocery shopping for me and Uyens bday gathering. Bought all the antipasto ingredients and a bottle of smirnoff and thankfully mum paid for it hehe. After shopping I went home and cleaned the whole house, it took longer than expected so people started to come when I was still doing my makeup :( Lil and Jeff were the first ones and then we started to set up the food. This was my fave part tbh, food presentation is so fkn fun lmao. Later on when everyone came we ate and watched movie trailers and did some karaoke. Dad was being a lil shit and he decided to embarrass Thao and I by playing our old dancing videos :((( I'm so thankful for having a group of amazing and trustworthy friends. (srsly thank you guys so much for coming and celebrating!!) We had pre drinks, blew out some candles, opened presents then quickly left for fantasy. It was such a good night, I chose the shittest outfit tho (was sweating balls). NEVER wear jeans and a fkn turtleneck to a club LOL. Left around 5:30am and it was morning and surprisingly I wasn't that tired. Uyen Koed when we got back to my place tho HAHAH. And having work 4 hours after coming home isn't fun at all.

When someone takes a pic of u n it turns out shit

Sunday 18th January
St Albans fest wasn't that great compared to previous years. Probably because the weather was so cold, yet some girls still managed to wear short shorts and heels #ded. Trained there with mk and soon met up with the rest. Food was pricey like usual and the ddeokboki was mediocre. The lines and crowds of people put me off buying some of the food. Tbs and lgs also put me off, I literally felt so old HAahah.

Monday 19th January
Went for brunch with uyenigz since she was in Richmond. They really need to open up more brunch places on Vic St, but luckily we found a cafe called Quint and it turned out to be pretty good!! I ordered the quinoa porridge and it was so nice, worked really well with the tartness of the rhubarb. Definitely coming back to try out some other dishes.

Wednesday 21st January
Second time going Night market this season and since the weather was hot, so many people had come out. I didn't feel like buying food, so I opted for a coconut instead. Also bought the novel Memoirs of a Geisha and I'm determined to get back into reading even though I'm rly lazy. I will always love the vibes at night market, it makes me feel so damn happy lel. Felt yolo towards the end so Lil and I decided to buy oysters even tho they're like double the normal price. Can confirm they tasted amazing n fresh as fk. The prawns were heavenly as well!!!! We did a quick korean grocery trip afterwards and I bought heaps of snacks that I've been craving.
